The R3 is a true upgrade for road and track riders wanting to improve every aspect of their standard shock absorber performance. As Nitron’s top-of-the-range model, the R3 has a separate piggy-back/remote gas reservoir and is fully adjustable for preload, rebound and both high and low speed compression damping. All Nitron shock absorbers are manufactured in the UK using the very best quality materials. Titanium and hard-anodised parts are hand built to last not only the lengthiest endurance races but also the harshest of winters. Nitron R3 shock absorbers have the following features. Built to order and sprung to match the rider weight. Fully adjustable for rebound, compression (high and low speed) and preload. Length adjustment (for most bikes). Remote or piggy-back (depending on the bike) nitrogen gas reservoir for fade-free and consistent high performance operation. Hard anodised high-grade aluminium body. 40mm piston design. 14mm piston rod. Preset for damping and preload, with a preload adjuster tool included. Unlike some aftermarket’off-the-shelf’ shock absorbers, all Nitron shocks are built to order and are sprung to match the rider weight. There’s also an option to have a black spring, at no extra cost (please see the pictures). If you often carry a pillion rider or heavy luggage, we would recommend the hydraulic preload adjuster as it allows spring preload to be quickly and easily changed, without any tools. On a lot of bikes, access to the preload adjuster can be tricky once the shock is fitted. When placing your order, please let us know the rider weight (including riding gear), how you use the bike (road, road/track or track only) and if you would like the standard Nitron blue or black spring.
